A few words about my work:
As a photographer, my preferred subjects include Japan and ball-jointed dolls. My deviantART gallery will feature my best examples of both; if you enjoy one or the other, perhaps you'll find something to like here.
I do not use expensive cameras or equipment as a matter of principle; I am determined to push the quality boundaries of the oft-maligned point-and-shoot. With that said, my weapon of choice is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ8; I do my modifications and adjustments with Adobe CS4.
A few words about myself:
Outside of photography, I hold an MA in Creative Writing and have traveled extensively in Japan. I have professional experience as submissions editor of a respected literary journal and graphic design/promotional services.
I enjoy the company of a small brood of ball-jointed dolls.

Mid-autumn greetings to everyone!
Yet again, I find myself feeling like an unfamiliar face here on DeviantART. I confess that, although I took steps earlier in the season to get back on track, life managed to throw some very unexpected curve balls my way. Between a major career change (still in-progress) and a near-broken camera, as well as mounting expenses that require me to work an unholy amount of hours each week, I haven't been able to do much in the way of doll photography lately. What's more, I haven't had time for sorting the rest of the latest batches of my Japan shoots...

Today marks my first submission to Deviantart in several months, as well as the introduction of some new policy changes that I am leveling against my gallery. Looking forward, I will be working to catch up on replies, as well as making modifications to earlier entries and submitting more new photographs from recent photoshoots. I hope I will have your continued patience as these updates slowly come about.
